Biostimulators

An injectable for skin that has lost its firmness: thinner, crêpey skin on the cheeks, jawline, neck and hands. It prompts your skin to rebuild its own collagen, so the change arrives over three to six months and lasts up to two years.

What changes

Nothing, then gradually everything.

This is the treatment for someone who does not want a change anyone can date.

  1. 01

You leave looking exactly as you arrived.

  2. 02

Around week six, the skin feels firmer.

  3. 03

By month three, the quality has changed.

  4. 04

It holds for a year or two, then fades.

How it works

It is a signal, not a filling.

A biostimulator is a suspension of particles — poly-L-lactic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite, depending on the product — that your body treats as something to respond to. The response is fibroblasts laying down new collagen around the particles over the following weeks. The particles themselves break down and leave; the collagen is what stays.

That is why nothing shows immediately, and why it is given as a short series with weeks between sessions: each one adds to what the last one started. It is also why the result outlasts a filler — you are not waiting for a gel to dissolve, you are waiting for collagen to turn over, which takes far longer.

  1. 01

    The particles go in

Diluted and injected across an area rather than into a single point, in the plane under the skin.

  2. 02

    The skin responds

Fibroblasts lay down new collagen around each particle over the following weeks.

  3. 03

    The particles leave

They break down and are cleared. The collagen they prompted is what you keep.

Areas treated

Where it goes.

Broad areas rather than single points — it works across a surface, not at a spot.

What to expect

Months, not days.

The timeline is the treatment. Expecting it to behave like filler is the commonest disappointment.

  1. Day 0

    The appointment

Some swelling from the fluid it is diluted in, which settles in a day or two. No result yet.

  2. Week 4 to 6

    It begins

New collagen has started to form. The skin feels firmer before it looks different.

  3. Month 3 to 6

    The result

After the full series, the change in firmness and quality is at its clearest.

  4. Year 1 to 2

    It fades

Collagen turns over as it always does. Many people top up once a year.

Your visit

One appointment, about an hour.

Usually the first of a short series. How many sessions is decided at the evaluation.

  1. 01

    First 20 minutes

    The evaluation

The physician assesses whether firmness or volume is the actual problem — they need different treatments.

  2. 02

    Before anything is injected

    The plan and the price

How many vials, how many sessions, and what the whole series costs, agreed in writing.

  3. 03

    Same appointment

    The treatment

Injected across the area, then massaged — by us, and by you at home for a few days.

As for me, I had blood tests and Botox injections done, and I'm very satisfied with the quality of the services. I'll definitely be back in three months for another session. I loved the result: my face looks instantly younger and fresher, and my skin is more radiant.
